ABOUT GENEROSITY IS VALUED EVERYWHERE
GIVE Foundation
Our Organization
Generosity is Valued Everywhere (GIVE) began as a legacy project in memory of Juan Hernandez. After his passing in 2011, his good works became known. Over a couple of decades, he assisted his neighbors in San Sebastian Salitrillo, El Salvador, providing meals to those in need. Although he never let it be known, his impact continues to resound today. Jesus said, "But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret..." (Matthew 6: 3-4), and that is just what he did. We look to continue his works of generosity and expand the works.
We are a Christian-based non-profit that believes Jesus has shown us how to live our faith. We understand that we are not saved by our works but by His grace, but we are called to do good works and bless those in need.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:8-10
Our Mission
Empower underprivileged communities through education, service, and nutrition programs.
Our Goal
Form servant leaders that will live in the community for the community.
Our Vision
We accomplish our mission through Education, Youth Ministry, & Nutrition Programs
Education
Partnering with local school communities through the provision of educational resources and the development of entrepreneurship opportunities and scholarships for the youth. Creating educational and economic development for the community.
The House
The establishment of a youth ministry and community center that instills how to love your neighbor as yourself. Love through action, love through service. Just as they are being served we want them to reciprocate it to their community.
Nutrition
Expansion of the GENEROSITY shown by Juan Hernandez through the development of a self-sustaining nutrition program. Harvesting local products, land, and the entrepreneurship program to create food security for the most vulnerable in the community.
Core Beliefs
1. WE GIVE TO BLESS
Because We Are Called To Love One Another
We give to bless a community in need by showing love and compassion to one another. Looking to educate, feed, clothe, and provide opportunities.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me...
Matthew 25:35-36
2. WE GIVE OUR TIME
Because Love Is Action
We give of our time to show the community we serve our love through action. The action of being present when they need us, to support and work towards a better tomorrow.
...let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
1 John 3:18
3. WE GIVE FROM THE HEART
Because We Love
We give from the heart because from it stems the right attitude and motivation. Not expecting anything in return and rejoicing in how we are edifying those we serve.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
4. WE GIVE AS WE ARE GIVEN
Because of Jesus
We are given grace, mercy, hope, peace, and love. We delight in the opportunity to serve those in need.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
